The Oklahoma Serves program places AmeriCorps members
statewide at non-profit organizations, public agencies, colleges and
universities, schools, and other community-based organizations dedicated
to providing services to children and youth. Member service activities
include mentoring, tutoring, implementing educational enrichment and
health programs, and supporting food banks.
Since its inception in 2004, 526 OK Serves AmeriCorps
members have impacted the lives of over 281,000 Oklahoma youth.
Additionally, members have served 336,861 hours and have recruited and
served alongside 43,038 volunteers through agencies and schools that
partner with OK Serves.
