 OKMM - Oklahoma Money Matters

Oklahoma Money Matters (OKMM) will focus on five primary member activities:  Provide instruction at high schools, present to various school and community programs, provide one-on-one personal finance instruction, provide information at various high school, college, community and faith based functions, provide information booths and sessions at college nights, and partner with established financial literacy organizations to develop volunteer recruitment programs.  The AmeriCorps members serve for the education award only and do not receive a living allowance.  Positions are available statewide.

AmeriCorps members may serve a term of service during a 10-12 month period.  Terms of service and the education award amounts are:

 

Full-time 1,700 hrs.         $4,725

Half-time   900 hrs.          $2,362

Quarter-time 450 hrs.       $1,250

Minimum-time 300 hrs.    $1,000

 

Education awards may be used to pay off qualified student loans or may be used at any Title IV school.  Members have seven years to use their education award.
