The Oklahoma Community Service Commission is a non-profit state commission whose primary purposes are to integrate, expand and sustain volunteer service initiatives across the state of Oklahoma as well as fund and administer AmeriCorps programs in Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma Community Service Commission matches people who want to serve their community with the agencies and organizations that address critical needs in communities across Oklahoma.

When faced with challenges such as illiteracy, poverty, crime and environmental problems, our nation has always relied on the dedication and action of citizens.  In Oklahoma, the Oklahoma Community Service Commission matches federal and local resources and volunteers with non-profits agencies, schools and community groups.  The result is after school tutoring and mentoring programs for at-risk youth, meals and transportation for people with HIV, daily living assistance for elderly Oklahomans, recovery assistance for our friends and neighbors affected by disasters, beautification programs to enhance the many parks and lakes in Oklahoma and many other programs that improve lives, meet critical needs and help create a positive future.

Whether you or your business can reach out with financial or human resources or offer services to help build effective service programs in Oklahoma schools and non-profits, there's a place for you. We are eager to provide assistance in any way we can.

Since 1994, more than 776,000 men and women have served in AmeriCorps, providing needed assistance to millions of Americans.  AmeriCorps provides trained, dedicated people to help nonprofit groups, both secular and faith-based. Members tutor and mentor youth, build affordable housing, teach computer skills, clean parks and streams, run after-school programs, help communities respond to disasters, and recruit and manage traditional volunteers.
